Ron and I (and everyone
who comes to visit) sit on this bench almost every evening,
to drink tea and enjoy the sunset and the view over the fields.

This is a waterhoen
family, which lives in the canal behind our house. The two
babies were born in May.

This ringslang
also lives in the canal, and likes to hang out in our woodpile.
Joseph and I had to chase him off the deck once. Fortunately,
he's not poisonous. You can also see that the swans have enjoyed
eating our waterlillies.

We watch these two
horses from our yard. They're in love and are always nuzzling
and chasing each other.

We can see this
barnyard from our house also. The owner raises emus as a hobby.
These two babies are from the second successful nest. Joseph
made a short movie of the emus running in circles (as they
love to do!) with my camera, and we emailed it to Gabriel
and Michael... but I got no idea how to put that on my website!

Here's Joseph, back
on the coastline of England, getting ready to begin his new
life with Holly in the US.
