Here are some photos from our September weekend in the east of Holland, where people still live a 1950s lifestyle. Thirty-five kilometers a day on bikes, and the sun was shining the whole time! We biked through the countryside and the woods.

We saw a new thatched roof being laid, which will last more than a hundred years.

This is a "wild crossing," where deer, etc. cross the
four-lane highway without being disturbed.

This is one of the inhabitants.

See... they are out of the 1950s.
