My Teacher

I was fourteen when I read my first book on Edgar Cayce, There is a River, by Thomas Sugrue. Nine years later, while I was living on a kibbutz in Israel, I read my first Paul Solomon book, Excerpts from the Paul Solomon Tapes, by Daniel Emmanuel. Within a year, I made my way to Virginia Beach, VA and showed up at the door of Paul’s organization to volunteer. More than four decades later, much of who I am is a result of my lifelong study of Paul’s work and my experience of him as a personal teacher.

Growing up, my parents studied with the Rosicrucians, plus they were members of Unity Church and the Edgar Cayce Foundation. They embraced concepts like the law of attraction, reincarnation, alternative healing and the interconnectedness of life – at the same time that they attended traditional church three times a week. So I was immersed in both religion and metaphysics from the beginning.

As an adult, I’ve focused on the universal spiritual concepts presented by Edgar Cayce, Dion Fortune, Abraham-Hicks, and especially Paul Solomon. The goal of my writing has always been to make arcane wisdom practical for modern times. As my primary teacher, Paul, more than anyone or anything else, has shaped my daily life and my writing. And I continue to write daily – books and online articles – from the knowledge I gained through his influence and teachings.

Following Paul’s death in 1994, I continued to compile his teachings into books. And the challenge has always been to cover the topics as effectively as he did, while making him sound as good on paper as he did in person. The following words about Paul come from The Wisdom of Solomon.

Paul Solomon (1939-1994) was one of the most inspired and illuminating teachers of life’s sacred mysteries. He was a scholar of comparative religion, sacred scriptures and the Qabalah, plus arcane wisdom and ancient mystery traditions. Plus he was a leader in the fields of psychic phenomenon and altered states of consciousness.

Paul was uniquely skilled in making complicated concepts understandable and applicable, while still allowing for deep understanding. Through his lectures and writing, he made universal laws and esoteric doctrines practical to daily life for hundreds of thousands of people around the world.

Paul’s primary focus was the establishment of a worldwide family, plus the empowerment of individuals toward their full potential, enhanced through an intimate, interactive relationship with the source of their being. He sought to bring together people of diverse nationalities, races and religions, believing that every individual has a gift to give to those with ears to hear. His central premise was that love is more powerful than fear, and that perfect love, beginning with oneself, is humankind’s only appropriate response to the current world situation.

The Wisdom of Solomon is a collection of Paul’s teachings on spirituality and religion, mysticism and occultism, prayer and meditation, reincarnation, channeling, dreams and the mind-body-spirit connection. Paul’s vast knowledge base, combined with his gift for simplifying issues and spelling out practical steps toward transformation, make The Wisdom of Solomon unique.
